I saw these photos of a woman going through a Buger King drive-thru on her scooter posted on NeoGraf, a video game discussion board, and just had to share them here.
When I saw them I immediatly thought of the movie, Wall-e... all those 'weight-challenged' folks on the space ship getting around on their hover scooters. (If you haven't seen Wall-e, I've included a clip down below, past the photos.)
Yes, she is flipping off the photographer in that last photo (or giving him the fist, which might even be funnier!).
I imagine we'll be seeing more and more of people on their scooters going through the drive-through as we get fatter and lazier.
I suppose fast food outlets will have to start developing their policy for scooter drive-ups. As you may know, most fast food restaurants do not allow walk-ups to their drive thru windows for safety reasons (even if the drive-thru is open and the restaurant seating area is closed). And many don't allow bicycle traffic either. If you know of a 'scooter policy' at your local fast food restaurant, let us know!
Here's the clip from Wall-e with the chubby space ship folks falling off their hover scooters when the spaceship tilts:

I love this blog, but I'm rather disappointed you would post something like this. It's unnecessarily mean-spirited.
I love this blog too! And I think this post is hella FUNNY!
Dude, hes pointing out that americans are getting fatter and fatter, its the truth!
BTW, I remember beeing in SF at a Wendys, they allowed walk thrus once the counters were closed.
Don't feel too bad. I found these pics on a forum also, posted it on my site, made some light of the situation...and then got lectured by one of the commenters. Check it out:

haha, Wall-E...that is hilarious.
Don't feel too bad for her. Her weight is entirely under her control. By going to a fast food joint, she is consciously making the decision to be heavy. Don't give me any of that "i can't do anything, it's glandular" nonsense, either. All you have to do is burn more calories than you eat. No whacky diet plans or anything else, just burn more calories than you eat. Simplest thing in the world. How do I know? I went from 250 pounds to 165, so I know what I'm talking about.
I don't find the post mean spirited. You're just holding up a mirror to a part of society - a part they feel are exempt from being responsible for one's self. (I should balance this by saying it's NOT "funny" - it's sad really).
People make choices. We all know that a diet of boxed and drive-through food is unsustainable, causing our bodies to become older faster and much fatter... impacting our ability to even walk... at which point people are unable to work, and may collect "disability" checks (taking funds away from the truly injured or born handicapped).
We pay for free emergency room healthcare also, when what this woman really needs is preventative health care in the form of a drill sergeant.
Haha she's fat
I`m so glad you all think you know how this woman feels, what her diet is, why she is overweight, how she should lose that weight, that she is jobless, and that your weight loss should be the "simplest thing in the world"
I also think it is just grand of you to add to her misery by reposting these pics over and over to keep the laughter coming! Since you all seem to know all this about this woman, I will add my opinion; I think she wishes she were dead, and I should know, I am her.
i see you would not approve the comment of the person in the pictures
