The Fast Food Maven perused the 2008 Forbes 400 list of the richest Americans to find food industry giants on the list. Here are the ones who made their billions with fast food (we added BK's king):
#161 David Bonderman, Founder/Owner of TPG which owns Burger King.
#301 Michael Ilitch, Owner of Little Caesars pizza empire.
Also at #301 Fred DeLuca and Peter Buck of the Subway fast food chain.
Nelson Peltz owner of Arby's and now Wendy's may not be on the list, but according to Forbes his home "Montsorrel" in Palm Beach, Florida is one of the most expensive homes in the US at $50 million.
