"Through a blend of bold text and powerful images, the new packaging will illustrate the high quality ingredients and food prepared at McDonald's. McDonald's new global packaging will be consistent around the globe, using sophisticated graphics, photography and storytelling, with and without words."The new McDonald's fast food packaging will be introduced first in the United Kingdom, Ireland and the United States and continue rolling out worldwide through 2010.
"Our new packaging is a fresh way of sharing McDonald's food quality story with our customers," said Mary Dillon, McDonald's Global Chief Marketing Officer. "The more people know about our food the more they'll love it."

Fancy shmancy packaging = ok
but
double cheese for a buck = bad
well it is mcdonalds after all...
I'm not sure if it is better packaging. It is neater, more consistent on McDonald's products but lacks style compared to the previous, which had people doing stuff and i'm lovin it in various languages including English, printed in red with it forming what the people are doing.
The odd thing is the frybox here in the UK is printed differently. Instead it says,'Hot,crispy and delicious. Savour from the first to the last bite of our world famous fries.'.
