Arby's offers fast food gyro

Atlanta-based Arby's this week introduced the Market Fresh Gyro sandwich to its menu. The sandwich offers slow-roasted, thinly sliced, warm roast beef seasoned with traditional Greek herbs and spices (oregano, lemon, garlic, salt and pepper) and topped with fresh tomatoes, lettuce and sliced red onions. It is served on warm pita flatbread with cucumber gyro sauce.

It's pretty good, but I wonder how fattening it is.

Itz better than awesome......and no offense but who cares how fatting it is.....i eat what I like how I like when I like and only weigh 102 pounds. If Americans would exercise every once in a while we wouldnt have to worry how fatting something is

Just because you have such a speedy metabolism does not mean you can redicule others for watching what they eat..I am a collegiate cross country and track runner, running about 50 miles per week plus weight training, so I think I "exercise once in a while", and definitely still need to watch what I eat to avoid weight gain. For the average person, no matter how much you exercise, you cannot just eat how ever much fattening food you want whenever you want and not gain weight. It's science.

It was great! I say was b/c just a few weeks after I found out they were offering it, they stopped selling it. I live in the Bay Area and never saw any advertising for it - just happened to go there one day and saw it for sale.

Are you all insane. It was laughable, a parody of a Greek Gyros. I sell authentic Greek Gyros at my stand in Georgetown Indiana, I lived in Crete for 9 years. We have now sold 13,244 and have been written up in all the local papers. I went to Arbys when they first started selling them and almost fell down laughing when I saw it. Competition? what competition

We love those roast beef gyros,
and would love the recipe for the cucumber sauce, I think it would be a wonderful salad dressing.
