Red Burrito menu coming to Hardee's

Following CKE's success with the Green Burrito brand in Carl's Jr. restaurants, Hardee's will now begin a Red Burrito co-brand.

The Green Burrito logo and menu items are offered in 263 Carl's Jr. locations. Green Burrito offers "big, fresh burritos, authentic and California-style tacos...and other Mexican-style favorites."

CKE, parent company of both Carl's and Hardee's, hopes is to expand both brands' appeal to Mexican food fans as well as Monster Thickburger lovers with the Red and Green Burrito brands.

This is incredibly old news. It seems like all the Hardee's in the greater St. Louis area have Red Burritos in them.

Maybe for people in St. Louis (congratulations on the World Series BTW). However, being in the southeast (TN) this is brand new news and can't wait to see some fast food mexican other than Taco Bell. Don't get me wrong, I love Taco Bell, but I love new things as well. I can't wait to see my first Red Burrito. I hope I don't have to travel all the way to St. Louis to see one.

Well, I just tried the tacos for the first time, and I can honestly say that was the nastiest thing I have EVER eaten in my life. The meat, as nonexistant as it was, was nothing more than bad chili. The shell taste...I couldn't even identify, or classify as Mexican. They need to stick with burgers

Just ate at Red Burrito at Keiner Plaza in downtown St. Louis for the first time. Best fast-food value Mexican around. Comparible to Moe's and Taco John's. 10 times better than Taco Bell. Plates are served with Chips, Refried beans and rice. Waiters deliver your order to you. AWESOME!

I think that Hardee's needs to stick with what started to work for them in 2003 - Thickburgers. The whole reason they pared down the menu was that they lacked any distinction. I just went to the drive-thru - I was shocked to be asked "would you like to try a fajita today". No I don't want a fajita, I came here because I thought you were passionate about burgers - it is only a matter of time until quality starts to suffer and Hardee's is back in the third tier of fast-food lunch/dinner joints. The menu lacks focus, and quality is going to suffer. Ironically, the bag my food came in had this quote "..we had truly become a 'Jack of all Trades and master of none.' Unfortunately, in today's competitive fast-food world, that wasn't cutting it." I guess they've forgotten what they print on the bag - a little success has made them take their eye off the brand they were starting to build into something special.

My first red burrito will be my last, I wasn't sure when I took the first bite, I had to take a second to make sure. This is the worst thing I have every eaten. It went in the trash.

I also agree! they need to stick to burgers and if they decide anthing different then bring back the chicken!!!:)

Don't know how the Red Burrito part is, going to try it today. But still have not been impressed with any hamburgers, thick or other wise at Hardee"s.Used to love the biscuit & gravey but they did something to the gravey a few years back and can't stand it now, They still have the best biscuit for a fastfood place, and the bacon, egg & cheese biscuit
