McDonald's Dollar Menu in Crisis?

Has McDonald's Dollar Menu finally fallen victim to US economic woes?

The Consumerist reports on Joe in Northwest Chicago who has spotted "at lesat 2 McDonald's where the dollar menu no longer includes the Double Cheeseburger or the McChicken Sandwich."

Joes says both these sandwiches are now priced $1.19.

We want your reports.  Please leave a comment below regarding disappearing Dollar Menu items at your local McDonald's.

Here in the Seattle area, all the McD's that I have seen still have the complete Dollar Menu as of today (24 Sep.)

North Metro Atlanta. Two closest to my home (same owner) no longer have the double cheeseburger at $1; it's now $1.14. There is now a double hamburger on the $1 menu. I don't know about the chicken.

In DeKalb Illinois (rt. 38 McDonalds) the Mc Chicken is $1.29 and the double cheese burger is $1.19. They offer a "double meat cheeseburger" on the dollar menu which only has one slice of cheese. It's been this way for a couple of months. :(

Still $1 here in Allentown, PA.

Still 2 slices of yummy processed cheese, too.

I cowboy, live in Tifton, Ga. We too have 3 Mcdonalds. The one closest to my home says a dollar for a double cheese burgar one day and 1.14 the next. And then back to regular price. I thought when they were going to change an item they had to tell you and it was your choice if you wanted to buy it at that price or not. They didn't advertise it at that price.

Lincoln, Nebraska...we now have the McDouble, a twin-meat but not twin cheese burger. They also don't LIST the 4-piece McNuggets on the dollar menu, tho I still get it for the dollar, and most of the places here no longer charge for the ranch cup (for the Tenders) when you buy the McNuggets.

I wanna make a shout out to the corporates, if yer gonna have a 24-hour drive thru, ya should have a 24hr MENU, I really hate the brekfast items being forced at my dinnertime (3rd shift), okay to have the breakfast menu at certain times, tho I'd like to have a cheeseburger at 5am.

Also, take the Filet-O-Fish and retag it the McFish on the dollar menu, and get a bigger filet on the McRib bun, and call that one the Deluxe Filet-O-Fish. The Soccer moms would go NUTS for a buck fishwich for the kids...make ya rich!
